Parental Units!

My parents came for a visit a couple of weeks ago. I like to fool myself into thinking they come because of me, but that's just not true. Their grandson is top priority, and they like to see him as much as possible. So since they couldn't come for his birthday, they came the week before... and they say "We" spoiled Brayden... ugh, well they're grandparents and it's their right, BUT, they nearly bought him the whole store! And they continue to! Sheesh! Brayden is one lucky kid to have such great, loving, and SPOILING grandparents.

(Here they are downtown)

Ok, enough teasing, they're really great. And I'm glad they come down as often as they can. We recently went to the Caribbean with them, for a family vacay, and had an awesome time. It was great getting to spend time with them and FINALLY meeting my step brother and his wife. I know it sounds weird, considering our parents have been married for nearly 3 years, but they live in Germany. Plus, he's active duty Army, and he and Troy take turns going over to Iraq. So needless to say its been difficult to get together, but I love it when we finally get to see each other.

Farwell Sweet Sonya

My parents dog, and Callie's BFF, died on Tuesday. My step dad was so sad, he has lost both his dogs in the last year. Suddenly I was reminded that Sonya and Callie, our dog, were the same age. And I've just been thinking about how her 'time' just might be around the corner. So Yesterday I decided that doggy years go by so fast, and that she should enjoy her life a little more. Even though she is very spoiled as it is, I decided to indulge her with an extra back scratch and a few pieces of cheese (her favorite). Hopefully my little puppers, and Brayden's Woo-Woo, will be with us a little bit longer. I know this whole thing sounds weird. But I've had her for so long, and she's such a sweet edition to our little family, that I can't really imagine life without her.

The Ultimate Bedhead!

Earlier this week Brayden woke up with the craziest hair. So I just had to take pictures of it.

Attack Of The Kissing Stickers!

On fathers day I decided to get Troy one of those "seductive" cards. I thought the card was funny, and that we'd both get a little 'chuckle' from it. This particular card had lip stickers in it. Well, as luck would have it, Brayden just happened to get his hands on the card. I guess you can imagine what happened next.

Looking back at it now I should have known that a one year old, in a corner by himself and being very quiet, would equal trouble.

Our Little Family

(Troy and I in Oahu last year)

Okay, okay. Since Angie keeps bugging me to do this... here it goes! I'm a 25 yr old girl from Utah. We currently live in Vegas, and Vegas sucks! Never move here, EVER!! But it is a fun place to visit and live it up, and once you've done that... be happy to leave it behind. But since I am stuck here for a few more months, I am very blessed to have the greatest friends to keep me company while we burn under the hot sun. I have no idea where I'd be with out them. Through deployments, TDY's and baby births, they have been there every step of the way and I love them all unconditionally. My hunny is in the Air Force (if you didn't guess that already) and has been for 5 years. So far we have lived in three states and survived two 8 month long deployments to Iraq. We've lived in Washington, Mississippi, and Nevada. I must say two of those states completely sucked! However Washington was awesome and i miss it everyday! And even though Nevada and Mississippi weren't our 'dream' locations, we learned a lot and grew from each experience.

We have a baby boy named Brayden. He is beyond spoiled in every way you can imagine! This makes our dog, Callie, very jealous! Nevertheless the two of them are the center of our attention. Brayden was born May 30th, 2007 while Troy was deployed to BIOP (aka: Baghdad International Airport for those of you who don't speak Air Force) and he has been the greatest edition to our family. Hopefully someday soon we can make him a few more siblings.
